I had been eyeing up a new restaurant in Rochester, Michigan, for about the last year or so. Finally, one day walking down the street and starving for lunch, I decided to wander in and check it out. From the Certified Organic menu, to the bamboo floors, ans sunflower-seed tables, this place was all natural! The only Certified Organic restaurant in Michigan, and one of the very few in the U.S., it is called Mind, Body, and Spirits. It is completely self-sustainable, every food and drink i... I remember when I had a budget for maternity wear. I decided to go with a few nice pieces, rather than many polyester blend outfits. If you are lucky enough to have girlfriends with some amazing, quality duds - take advantage! If not, instead of going to a chain store, why not support the local economy? If you are in Metro Detroit, try Bella Belli Maternity in Birmingham. They also have baby gifts and baby wear. At Nurture Mothers, we support local women's businesses, and we would like to give... We moms know all kids favor hot dogs, pizza, pop, and good old PB&J, right? WRONG! My daughter must have one of the strangest appetites I have ever seen in a 9 year old. She gets more excited over sunny-side up eggs than cereal, and whilst she may like pizza and McDs now and then, she'd much prefer to eat Thai or Chinese and drink Oolong tea! No no, green tea isn't quite what she wants....it's got to be Oolong tea to be perfect. She has never been a picky eater, unlike most of my friends'... Continue reading...

As a mom of four, there is never a short supply of things for me to laugh at. Unfortunately, along with the laughs, comes at least one weekly dose of sheer, unadulterated embarrassment. Perhaps as parents, we are too open with our kids, and they have learned to take this openness with them out into the world, unequipped with the wisdom of self-censorship that comes with age. This week’s most offensive incident occurred when my neighbor so graciously volunteered to watch the tribe so I cou... Continue reading...

Who doesn't love silky lotions, scented candles, or hair-shining shampoos? Most of us girls and women love out toiletries! Beautiful shades of eye-shadow, hundreds of scented perfumes, lotions, creams, and hair-care products.....we love them! But, have you ever considered if they are good for you? Sure, lotions are made to make your skin feel great, but what else do they do to us? Something that most of us never really think about is the fact that most things that go on our skin, get abso... Refuses to Shut Her Cervix, Refuses to Shut Her Mouth!
Zanna
Rochester Hills & Ann Arbor, Mi
The Director of the Nurture Mothers Center conceived its "Mother Project", a long-term, diverse, detailed plan called Powerful Women Create after realizing that many of the women she knew faced Identity Fade = a disease she discovered, generally caused by self-sacrifice and people-pleasing to the point of martyrdom practiced in the isolation of Modern American Living.
Zanna loves surgery, research, trailblazing bitches like Marie Curie and Unpopular Point-of-View Posturing like Atticus via Harper Lee!
A passionate activist, successful Momtrepreneur of Huxley (2.5) and Aurora Delphine (5), serious writer of comedic commentary, optimist despite intense awareness of reality, songwriter & musician, often requested to write and perform eulogies, Zanna's strange life of beautifully braided pathways has lead her to experience in multiple fields. See LinkedIn.com/in/ZannaPillars for her long list of definition by paper.

Lois Lane = The New Superwoman
Angela Bajramaj
Farmington Hills, Mi
Although Angela is rarely seen in public without one of her 4 children hanging from her limbs, she does not let her over-active uterus slow her down. No, she's not Catholic, just really bad at using birth control! In addition to being Supermom to Arjeta, 9, Ramadan, 8 Dylan, 5, and Bujar, 3, she enjoys gardening, cooking and reading, and is currently working on writing her first novel, an anthropological study of Eastern European cultures. Angela is also the leader of Team Trotter, a women's charity running group, which she founded in 2008. Life in the Bajramaj home is never dull, and there's always a lot to laugh at!

Herb Fairy
Mandy Sandborn
Neverneverland...
Dubbed by Superwoman Angela as "the crazy red-head", Mandy enjoys learning anything she can about herbs, alternative medicine, nutrition, and gardening, to name a few. She loves meeting new and eccentric people, and will talk to just about anyone (including kidknapping random pagans for a cup of coffee at Starbucks)! Her daughter Wren is almost 9 years old, and just as outgoing and silly as her mother. Hooray for passing on the gene-pool! Mandy also loves to read science fantasy, non-fiction, anything about wolves, and write short stories, blogs, informative articles, and completely randnom blatherings.
